Neural Therapy
March 31st, 2008
Neural Therapy is a gentle healing technique that focuses on the relief of chronic pain and long term illnesses.
These symptoms can be stopped by injecting local anesthetics into nerve sites, acupuncture points, scars and other tissues in the body. Similar non-injection techniques, which include electrical current, laser and other light devices are now used.
How Does Neural Therapy Work?
There can be obstructive fields that cause dysfunction of the autonomic nervous system. Neural Therapy corrects the dysfunction in the autonomic nervous system by stopping the obstructive field. Once this occurs the organs, glands, and body tissues can function better, eliminating chronic disease conditions. One possible explanation for this improvement is that Neural Therapy actually increases the circulation to the injured organs including the thyroid, adrenal, liver, or kidneys.
Neural Therapy, originating in Germany, has been widely used in Europe and South America since the 1940's, but was only recently introduced into North America. In Germany, Neural Therapy is available from many orthodox medical practitioners. Elsewhere in the world, a variety of medical doctors, osteopaths, dentists, naturopaths, chiropractors and acupuncturists have under gone training in this discipline. The American Academy of Neural Therapy offers workshops, videos and course manuals. Early in 2000, this group has moved toward board certification of Neural Therapists.
