Description

Pro-Tec Shin Splints Compression Wrap

Used by professional athletes and recommended by medical professionals this is a highly effective and really simple way of alleviating your shin sore pain.

Shin Splints is a general term used to describe pain and inflammation in the soft tissue of the lower leg, with the most common form of this being 'Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome', which occurs in the soft tissue next to the medial (inside) lower half of the tibia. Typically 3-5" of vertical pain.

Excessive running on a hard surface and over-pronation are two very common causes of Medial Tibial Stree Syndrome.

Anterior Shin Splints and injury to the front edge of the tibia, may require the wrap to be applied higher up the leg.

Benefits

  • Alleviates conditions of Medial and Anterior Tibial Stress Syndrome
  • Compression strip provides targeted and gentle compression to help stabilize tibia and surrounding tissue
  • This 'directional' wrap absorbs stress and prevents additional tearing of soft tissue away from tibia
  • To be worn during activity to reduce strain
  • Universal one size fits all

Directions

  • Place compression strip over soft tissue next to the injury location. Wrap neoprene over the tibia, and then around the leg so that the compression strip applies pressure to the edge of the tibia
  • While holding the neoprene in place, pull the neoprene straps over the compression strip and attached with velco
  • Additional compression can be achieve by, again, pulling the straps (one at a time) further across the compression strip
